A catch-all email mailbox receives emails sent to non-existent email addresses under the very same domain. For instance, a message sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. Thus, you can get messages from partners or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a typo or to an out-of-date one, which they may still have, but you have already disabled. Only one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at some point you may begin receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction means that the spam will not be sent to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Hosting

You’ll be able to configure a catch-all email mailbox without difficulty in case you have a hosting account with our company. The Email Manager tool in our custom-built Hepsia hosting Control Panel is feature-rich, yet stunningly easy to use, and it will enable you to activate various options, including the catch-all one, with no more than a couple of mouse clicks. All the mailboxes that you have will be displayed in alphabetical order in this section and next to each one you’ll notice a tiny "Catch-all" logo. Clicking on it once will enable this option, clicking it twice will disable it. Since you can have just one such mailbox per domain, our system will inform you if you already have another mailbox with this option enabled or if you have active email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The custom-created Hepsia hosting Control Panel that is included with each semi-dedicated server package that we’re offering will permit you to configure a catch-all mailbox without any efforts even in case you don’t have much web/email hosting experience. All it takes to achieve that is to click on the catch-all icon, which will be on the right-hand side of each mailbox that you have set up using your domains in the Control Panel’s Email Manager section. As you can have just one single mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will let you know if you’ve already set up a different catch-all mailbox or if the one that you want to use has email forwarding activated. If you reach the decision that you don’t need this feature any longer, you can remove it by clicking again on the same icon. The Email Manager section will also permit you to view your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
